PowerRIP X™ & PowerRIP X LF v9
for Epson®, Canon® and select HP® Inkjet printers
Current version 9 adds support for Snow Leopard, version 10.6.x, and previous versions of Leopard, Tiger, Panther, Jaguar and
adds support for Epson Stylus R2880, 4880, 7880, 7900, 9880, 9900, 11880.
PowerRIP X v9 has a greater "Color Gamut Volume" than any competitor, as measured by Chromix's ColorThink Pro 3 software for the Epson Stylus R2880, 4800, 7800, 9800, 4880, 7880, 9880, 11880.
Measurements of PowerRIP X prints, on the printers listed above, shows up to 15% greater color gamut volume on photographic papers with gloss and semi gloss finishes, and up to 30% greater color gamut volume on art and matte papers.
A greater "Color Gamut Volume" enables PowerRIP X v9 to print more colors and to print more accurately. PowerRIP X's superior screening and color management enables PowerRIP to produce contract quality proofs on inexpensive printers like the Epson Stylus Photo 1400
PowerRIP X™ is the most user friendly Macintosh PostScript RIP available.
With PowerRIP X version 9 you obtain a 20% to 30% greater color gamut volume on fine art papers, like UltraSmooth Fine Art and Velvet Fine Art. Very important for Gilcee print making and fine art reproduction. On Epson's Photo Quality Inkjet paper, PowerRIP X actually has a 50% greater color gamut, than with our competitors' software RIP. This enables you to make a better low cost proof, that is more accurate.
Contract Proofing benefits also. A greater "Color Gamut Volume" means a better match to named spot colors, like Pantone®.
Photographers easily obtain 10% to 15% more colors on glossy/semigloss papers.
Of course with the price of paper and ink these days, you want to get the best color reproduction possible for your money, which is only possible right now with PowerRIP X version 8.

This Version 7.39 supports all previous features. Version 7.39 improves multiple copy output for the R3800, R1800 and R800 printers when using PowerRIP X's new feature, "PowerRIP X to Printer Queue" found in Device under the Advanced setup. This new feature creates a PowerRIP X to Printer Queue and gets around the internal buffer issues of CUPS. Now users can print large multiple page files without the limits imposed by CUPS. AN improvement was made to speed up spot color printing. iProof 's still offers a FREE ICC profiling service for PowerRIP X users with the 3800 based on measuring 4913 color steps, more than any color management package software package sold to end users. Special work was also done for the Altona PDF test suite and there still is the ability to do automatic insertion of any style of colour bars on all proofs. iProof supplies two colour bar designs and a use can choose which one they might want to use. Both designs cover all colour tints that a press man will check while running a press job. Because of this these color bars enable press operator to quickly evaluate the accuracy of you inkjet proof. Users can also insert their own custom color bars or modify the iProof ones adding their own logs and pertinent information. Even third party colour bars available from organizations such as FOGRA may be added. FOGRA sells their colour bars and can be contacted at wwww.FOGRA.org. iProof's colour bars are free to all PowerRIP users. Version 7.39, listed here for download, is for Mac OS 10.5, 10.4 and 10.3 workstations, and/or OSX Server version 10.4 and 10.5. A Universal PowerRIP X Client is available for Intel Macs on OSX 10.5 and up, as well as all other PowerPC Macs on version 10.3 to 10.5. This Universal PowerRIP X Client can be downloaded and installed separately on Intel Macs to be used with previous versions of PowerRIP X.
This Version 7.35 supports all previous features. Version 7.35 adds full support for the Epson Stylus Pro 3800. iProof Systems is offering a FREE ICC profiling service to PowerRIP X Users with the Pro 3800. PowerRIP X is the only Mac RIP in the world using Epson's newly developed screening module for the Pro 3800. This allows PowerRIP to accept RGB paper profiles for the 3800 based on Epson screening. So premium profiles from Epson or third party RGB paper profiles from paper manufacturers will now run on PowerRIP X for the 3800. This is also true of the Stylus Photo R1800 and the R800 printers. Users can easily add new paper types to the RIP and then update the PPD so all users can have access tot eh profiles when printing. This was done with a new feature "Define Media" added to the Pro 3800, R1800 and R800 printers. With the Pro 3800, R1800 or R800 users can still can make their own custom RGB profiles if they choose to and not worry about ink limits as they would have to when making a CMYK paper profile. iProof 's FREE ICC profiling service for PowerRIP X users with the 3800 is based on measuring 4913 color steps, more than any color management package software package sold to end users. Special work was also done for the Altona PDF test suite and there still is the ability to do automatic insertion of any style of colour bars on all proofs. iProof supplies two colour bar designs and a use can choose which one they might want to use.
